My New Normal by Mackenzie Smith

Hello world, my name is Mackenzie Smith, but most people just call me Kenzie. I’m a 7 year old first grader from Lansing, MI. I’m the author of the book titled, “My New Normal”, which was published November 23rd, 2020. My book talks about how my life completely changed due to Covid-19. The virus turned the whole world upside down, and I just wanted to share what I was experiencing in hopes that it would help others cope with our new normal way of life. Although it has been hard at times for myself and other kids like me, I realized that if we follow the rules that are in place, social distance and wear a mask, we’ll all be safe and everything will be ok. My little sister and I have even been able to find creative ways to have fun while staying in the house.
