My name is Jesula Jeanlouis, known to most as Jay, Jj or JLo (Lol), born and raised in Florida. I am from Caribbean descent, my parents are from Haiti, making me a first generation American. I’m currently active duty serving in the Marine Corps and a single mother of one. I created my business to share art with the world. I lost both of my parents at a young age and was raised in a mentally, emotionally and physically abusive environment from the age of 11 to 19. Art and books were my safe place where I was able to retreat from the outside world and find peace. Through art, I was able to express how I felt and it still has that affect for me today. I chose to share my art so that those who are or have been in my situation or have experienced and/or are currently stuck in a shitty situation know that they are not alone, that there’s a light at the end of the tunnel, as cliche as that may sound. I created this business in hopes of positively impacting someone’s life through my art. I hope that when someone purchases my product, they can smile smile, feel good or experience any and everything positive, even if it’s for a short while. I believe that small things come in big packages and sometimes it’s the little things in life that matters most. I hope that my work can be someone’s little thing that makes the biggest difference.
