I learned the art of sewing at 18 out of the frustrations of being 6’5 and constantly spending money on clothing that never fit right. Everything was always too big or too short, however, as a man of solutions, I went looking for a teacher and was lucky enough to find Ms.Pauline & Neva, who taught me the tailoring fundamentals like garment construction, pattern drafting & manipulation and alterations. With those skills, I landed my first job making sample sizes for local DC fashion week designers in 2011 (shout out to Ms.Desiree) and custom suiting in 2013. Now, I am proud to be presenting my own brand Kabba Custom as sole owner and proprietor …I’m fking terrified. But also super excited to share my vision with you all. To those who have been with me since that closet on 17th street, I’m honored to be “your guy” and my success is in large part thanks to you. To those just getting acclimated with custom suiting, I look forward to meeting and measuring you. 🙂
