Hey! My name is Quamique Ruiz. My shop name comes from my Instagram which is O_oMiki shorten to oMiki.
I first begin to knit around 2008, to knit my son a blanket before his birth in April 2009. Needless to say, I never completed the blanket and stop knitting when I had him. Years later before the birth of my daughter in April 2016. I decided to pick up the needles one more time. I finished her blanket with a hat & booties to match. I keep knitting things like hats, headbands, bags, coin purses, slippers to name a few. I tried to knit a blanket for myself but could never finish it. So I decided to crochet. Back in 2008, I taught myself how to knit from a book I purchased, I got a crochet book too. Crocheting seemed more difficult to learn than knitting so I gave up to focus on learning knitting. Now years later I decided to give crochet one more try and haven’t stopped since. With crochet the things I could make seemed endless, from hats to headbands to crocheting my husband’s favorite Pokemon, I couldn’t stop.I fell in love with crochet and the endless possibilities of creations I can create with yarn. I haven’t created my patterns but with the help of patterns from great creators, I use to make. I want to someday create my patterns but until then I purchase others to make for myself and if they allow selling to share with others.
